If you do encounter any bugs or issues in the new season please use the bug report system the same as the last map and we will look to fix them as soon as possible during the new reset! 📷|Cells Unfortunately, during last season when we implemented plots we experienced a number of performance issues, and even though plots was a great feature for prison to add we cannot simply fix the issues within this public plugin so we have decided to change it up and introduce our own custom cells plugin for this reset. Cells are typically like islands on skyblock, you can start with a maximum of 4 people in your cell, however you can upgrade your cell and increase the member size. Not only can you upgrade the members you can also upgrade the size of your cell. Have control over the permissions and much more! Inside those cells you can store armor, weapons and much more! They are located in a separate world that can be accessed by typing /cell command. This is also the help command for cells so if you’re looking to see the full list of commands available with this plugin run that as well! Use the cell to start your own shop and make a profit, create a competitive environment with a casino and gamble or farm resources. If you’re more creative you can use the cell to just build and have fun. TIP use [cell] in chat! All players will be allowed to type [cell] in chat which will create a clickable chat message, if a player clicks the chat message he will be teleported to your cell! 📷|Drugs In the spawn area, take a walk behind Santa and a secret entrance will be found, in this area you will find an NPC. The drug dealer npc will sell you seeds that you can harvest drugs with inside your cell. After harvesting them, head back to the drug dealer to sell them for a great price. The drug dealer allows you to purchase different drug seeds and you can only sell a selected amount of fully grown drugs per day back to him. The sell prices is a fraction of the price of your rank up. This introduces a new element to the economy and gives users a fun, new way to get extra money. 📷|Auto miner Last map, you could use autominer to stay online and earn money, but once you got to a certain rank it wasn’t worth using and this is why we have decided to rework the system to rebalance it and benefit everyone equally. We have added miner upgrades this season to AFK and make some extra money with no effort!
Miner Speed Upgrade - Increase the speed of your autominer to make them mine blocks even faster.
Token Greed Upgrade - Your autominer will find tokens more frequently and in higher amounts.
Money Boost - Your autominer will increase the amount of money it earns whilst selling blocks in your inventory.
Pickaxe Upgrade - You can now enchant a autominer pickaxe in the same way you would enchant a normal pickaxe.

To access this, simply execute the command /enchanttogggle and click on the enchants you wish to disable. Collect pet eggs and hatch them to get a random tier pet. Every pet will give you a different boost and the higher the tier the better. When I have asked people to describe the current EVE meta, the responses have overwhelmingly included the word “stale,” with numerous complaints centered around botting, risk aversion, the condensation and supremacy (both in the game and in game updates) of null mega-blocs (which everyone knows are inferior to LEGOs), and the general lack of content variety that once was the hallmark of EVE. EVE Online is very much an economic sandbox, and any economist with more than three brain cells to rub together could tell you that in entirely unregulated systems, the largest and most established corporations will subsume the others around it, quickly gobbling up any newcomers to the market to eliminate competition (See: AOL-Time Warner-Pepsico-Viacom-Halliburton-Skynet-Toyota-Taco Bell-Trader Joe's), and what we see in EVE is no different: groups that are already large and powerful have the means to gain money, power, and influence at a rate much larger than that of smaller groups (rorqual moon mining, super ratting, jump bridges, etc.). This set-up creates what is essentially a regressive tax on smaller entities: they have no way to compete with already-established entities, now or in the future, because they will always be at a disadvantage compared to the mega-bloc (barring some massive influx of external capital; see: Casino Wars). What this means is that the EVE player base is basically like the Catholic Church: the general population is the old guard, established folks who control the doctrine (see what I did there?), with relatively few newcomers attracted or able to establish themselves. As people leave to pursue activities in meatspace or burn out, there is little new blood to replace them, and CCP’s recent strategy of making up for this lack of new players with having the old folks get multiple subscriptions (because you need to have a tackle alt, a cyno alt, a super alt, and a FAX alt, right?) makes decent economic sense for the company (in the short run), but definitely condemns the game to a slow death. So, what I present here are a series of what I will call “revolutionary” ideas; ideas that range from freshening the meta to make it more viable for new players to gain a foothold in this crazy game universe to collapsing core game mechanics in ways that would likely result in a huge uproar from EVE’s player base. I do not necessarily claim that any of these are good ideas, but they are definitely interesting ideas to consider and discuss and are based off personal pet peeves I have had while playing EVE over the past few months. Wow that was a long fucking intro. Jesus, let’s get to it.
I. Fix Low Sec and Faction Warfare
New players start off in high sec with very limited resources, and the game implies that low security space is a way for players to dip their toes into PVP, piracy, and other game mechanics that are excluded from hisec. Especially prominent to new players is the Factional Warfare mechanic, which provides new players with a ready-made group of allies, chances for PVP, and roleplaying opportunities. Theoretically, low sec and faction warfare mechanics should reward these players for their gumption… in reality, that’s not what happens. Low security (especially the FW Warzone) space is plagued by numerous issues, and I am going to attempt to address some of them here with some indecent proposals:
Ban supers and titans in lowsec: from a logical standpoint, this makes sense. No caps in hisec; regular caps allowed in low; supers allowed in null. It also makes sense from a lore standpoint as empires may not want capsuleer titans wandering around their space willy-nilly. On top of that, it makes it much harder for null-based entities to deploy a massive super fleet to sweep every smaller group out of low sec so they can essentially use it as an auxiliary to its own space (looking at you, Snuff). Supers and titans are huge, expensive, and only available to the truly wealthy. They should not be in low sec if low sec is meant to be viable for new players as an induction into PVP. On a personal note, if I have one more assault frigate killed by a cloaked supercarrier outside a plex, I may explode.
Ban cloaking devices insideand outsidefaction warfare plexes: Tell me, what is the point of going to a novice complex (only T1 frigates allowed in) if a cloaky insta-lock Loki can just sit outside the acceleration gate and blap anything that tries to come in? Or how about the aforementioned scenario of a cloaked supercarrier sitting near the gate just waiting for their tackle alt to grab someone before they can slide in. Alternatively, there could be damage clouds outside plexes that punish people more frequently the longer they sit out there (after 1 minute sitting there you take 1000 omni damage, after 2 minutes, you take 10k omni damage, after 5 minutes you take 100k omni damage, etc.). This second method has all sorts of problems with it, but damn would it be interesting.
Make the insta-slide a thing again!: Up until a few months ago, if you landed on the acceleration gate, and hit the gate as soon as you landed, you would always warp into the FW complex. You could not be pointed or scrammed outside, so long as you took the gate immediately. This mechanic was critical to ensuring that if you showed up to a small plex, you would fight frigates and destroyers, not T3Cs and supers. A super-easy fix to a really discouraging problem for new players.
Dramatically increase victory points per complex run: As it stands now, a faction must run 150 complexes to completion (plus additional complexes for each complex the enemy faction has run) in order to bash the infrastructure hub. Each complex takes between 10 and 20 minutes to run. Why in hell is the grind so pointless and vicious?! In Fozziesov (which is basically FW on crack), each node captured stabilizes or destabilizes the structure by 6-7% (albeit on a timer). In FW, each complex stabilizes or destabilizes the system by 0.6%! Yes, you read that right: a fraction of one percent. You can circle the beacons for days and never get anywhere close to making the system vulnerable (especially since all those deplexing bots get to the system while you sleep). Reducing the number of necessary plexes to 25 or even 50 could make FW seem less like pounding your head against a brick wall and makes FW viable and engaging gameplay for small- and mid-sized groups.
Severe warzone structure restrictions: Arguably the biggest problem facing FW today is that control of the warzone is pointless. If the enemy faction captures your staging system, it used to be a critical blow, as now all your stuff was locked inside a station you could not access. With the introduction of citadels, that situation has changed drastically and was never addressed or altered in any meaningful way. If my faction loses control of a system, my Fortizar works just fine. In fact, my industrial facilities can benefit from system FW bonuses even if it is not my faction that owns the system. I could be looking at 50% reduced industry costs while sitting deep in enemy territory. How does that make sense? Thus, my insane proposal for this is to drastically reduce citadel function in lowsec systems in the FW warzones by (forgive the shitty indents, reddit):
a. Preventing anchoring of structures in space controlled by the enemy faction. Any structures in enemy space (after a system flip) automatically enter low-power mode and do not have any services, including docking and tethering. To prevent "enemy holding corporations," there would additionally need to be an "ACL Override" that would prevent enemy milita from docking/tethering in these structures in the warzone, regardless of the standings/ACLs of the corporation that owns them (e.g. I could not just make a one-man Calmil corporation just to anchor an astrahus that Galmil can dock in in Caldari space). b. Removing neutral structures: Structures belonging to groups that are not engaged in factional warfare cannot be anchored in the FW warzone, and any structure in the warzone transferred to a neutral entity automatically enter low-power mode and disallow all docking and tethering. Neutral toons can still dock at NPC stations, but cannot dock or tether at citadels owned by either faction. This method is extreme, but necessary to avoid FW groups just using holding corporations to place structures in enemy space. Implementing these proposals means that system sieges could actually mean something. Imagine if all your citadels could be shut down because the enemy controls your space! Wouldn’t that be some high-stakes excitement, compared to the boring “who gives a crap if we lose space” attitude prominent in FW groups nowadays? It is also worth noting that not ALL of lowsec is in the FW warzone, so there are plenty of places for industry groups, pirates, etc. to go other than the warzone. If FW is made more dynamic with VP changes, the warzone could also conceivably be reduced in size (with more becoming a specific empire’s space permanently) to allow for non-FW content to thrive in those areas as well.
II. Make stationary mega-blocs less viable in the long-term, especially those utilizing botting.
The idea of a Delve-hour is a cancerous lesion upon the entire EVE community: one group (admittedly through its own trials and tribulations) has a near-impenetrable region of space that produces massive amounts of resources, industrial products, and NPC bounties in quantities that rival or even dwarf trade hubs on a monthly basis. And the real kicker is: the more they harvest, the more they farm, the more they grind, the more resources, rats, and grindrs are available to them. Thus, their wealth creates a positive feedback loop that ensures that no one will ever truly be able to compete with them. This situation is certainly not unique to Goonswarm Federation (and I do not bear them, nor Snuff, nor any other group ill will for exploiting the game mechanic in their favor) but it is not long-term sustainable if CCP wishes to attract new players. Additionally, trillions upon trillions of ISK every month are generated through botting (or just plain AFKing) with VNI ratting in near-untouchable space with vast intel networks (galaxy-wide, obviously not just in Delve). Thus, I propose two changes, one relatively minor that may (or may not) help with dealing with the VNI’s bullshit, and one that would fundamentally alter (read: break) the structure of the game forever.
Make VNI ratting take literally any conscious effort: I know, this is a pretty low bar to set, but even some really stupidly simple changes like increased drone aggro against drone boats by rats and removing the drone “aggressive” auto-attack means that people (or bots, let’s be real) would actually have to put SOME effort into ratting. In any ship other than a drone boat, a player has to make a conscious choice to engage each enemy, depleting ammunition, reloading, maintaining appropriate range. In VNIs, all of that is done for you automatically: no ammo is depleted, you never have to reload, you just need to orbit a rock prop-on and go cook dinner while the money pours in. Now, in fairness, these changes could discourage real players from ratting while not really addressing the core issue of botters, but people just printing money with 0 actual game inputs seems incredibly brokento me.
Resource Depletion and Scarcity: This is arguably the worst, best, least viable, and most interesting suggestion I have for this post. It was spurred by two stimuli: Firstly, a discussion I had with a friend about how good of an economic simulator EVE is. For those who have never taken economics, the entire field is more or less predicated on two assumptions: that people will generally act in a way that serves their self-interest and that resources are scarce. The first assumption holds up pretty well in EVE, but the second fails massively because asteroid belts respawn every day after downtime in the same place with the same amounts of minerals; the more ore you mine in null sec, the MORE ore anomalies spawn; the more NPC pirate rats you kill for their bounties, the more show up in your system. That doesn’t seem… quite right. (Yes, I know it is ostensibly to "reward" groups for being active in their space, but should there be no limit to that?) The second factor that pushed me to make this suggestion was actual flavor text from the game itself, specifically the one for “Small Asteroid Cluster” anomalies: “In the past, scientists shared their concerns about an overall reduction in the supply of raw resources, but in recent times, the discovery of additional ore in unknown sectors of space has alleviated this anxiety.” CCP literally has written into the game that scarcity could become a real thing! What if rorqual mining a system for months at a time actually depleted its resources? What if money moons gradually became less money (while other moons gradually improved if not drilled regularly)? What if killing off thousands upon thousands of pirates actually weakened their cartel in that sector of space? What if PI depleted planetary resources not just in one area of a planet, but across the entire planet for an extended period of time? Well, if that happened, groups that consume massive amounts of resources would need to move, conquering space from other groups. All of a sudden, groups would not just be able to sit under their cyno jammers and super umbrellas making massive piles of cash, reacting enormous stockpiles of moon goo, and killing infinite numbers of rats: they would have to scout and seize the more desirable space from their enemies. In one fell swoop, we could have a more realistic EVE economy, discourage turtling, and encourage actual engagements (as opposed to the “war” Legacy/Fraternity have had going for a couple months, where no meaningful structures were destroyed or space changed hands because everyone is too risk-averse to commit). Because the defenders have a tactical advantage against invaders, introducing scarcity would also give smaller groups at least somewhat of a boost in the face of groups slightly larger than they. On top of all that, the EVE economy would more accurately reflect the reality of meatspace economies and resource-gathering. Could new gameplay opportunities or strategies be opened up by the depletion of Delve money moons or PI planets, just as depletion of petroleum oil supplies has (somewhat) allowed for the expansion of solar, wind, geothermal, and other power sources in meatspace? Maybe! Who knows what strategies we could see EVE players develop in the face of this new challenge (which is, in reality, the oldest challenge humanity has faced for tens of thousands of years).
NOW, there are several big problems with this change, most notably that someone who is super rich could just stockpile massive amounts of resources, then use the skyrocketing prices to make mad bank, but honestly, I think that it would be a fascinating development, if not necessarily one that would make a lot of players happy.
III. Random Bullshit/Quality of Life Improvements
Gonna keep this short because my other sections are WAY too long.
Fix Corp/Alliance/ACL Titles, roles, and general management: Dear gods, what a fustercluck these are. I know, I know, someone is going to scream “Legacy code!!!” at me, as if TAPI had teamed up with James 315, but after 16 years, that excuse starts to sound a bit old. Setting corp and alliance permissions in these is a confounding nightmare.
Event and Giveaway buttons on sidebar: Jesus Christ, can we get rid of these, or at least make them removable? There are already massive ads/popups for them on the launcher and login screen! Stop pushing my Fitting Management button off my neocom, you shits!
Insurance adjustments: This is the most minor of pet peeves, but every single month, an economic report comes out that shows that there is at least two times as much ISK paid out in insurance money as is paid into the insurance system. As someone who has known actuaries and insurance professionals all my life, this annoys the hell out of me. Honestly, Pend Insurance should just stop insuring capsuleers; they’d save so much money! I think it would be really interesting if CCP implemented some sort of monthly check: if insurance payouts exceed insurance contributions for that month, then future insurance payouts are cumulatively reduced by 10% across the board (maybe weighted so that insurance for larger ships is reduced by a greater amount and insurance for smaller ships reduced less to make it more friendly for new players who can’t afford to lose as much). CCP can then continue to do this every month that insurance payouts continue to be too damn high, until the relative amounts are more reasonable. Payouts can also be adjusted UP if contributions are substantially higher than payouts. *GASP* an actual economic equilibrium? Who woulda thunk? Having insurance act as a net ISK faucet is both dumb from an economic standpoint and silly from a game-design standpoint.
Conclusions
Anyway, those are some of my extremely terrible, horrible, no good, very bad ideas for the future of EVE that could make the game more compelling for new players, which I mainly bring up as points of discussion for my fellow players, rather than as serious proposals. I fully expect that a whopping zero of them will ever be implemented because many would frustrate the existing paying player base or just be too much effort to address something that CCP doesn’t really care about addressing since they are focused on other matters. I don’t mean to shit on CCP for having such a focus: the Triglavian stuff is pretty cool, and I like that there’s more lore things happening lately… but it’s a shame that the number of viable play-styles in EVE has been reduced so drastically because of lack of attention on their part.
I finished all my Casino Heist Preps on my Primary account. Than i go onto my secondary computer and attempt to launch GTA to do the heist, low and behold I get a loop of failed launches so I open the Launcher and it takes me to the login screen, I type my information to login and get a “this is going to take a moment longer” message than it refuses my information. I have spend 45 god damn minutes in the launcher attempting to get something to work that should work without having to dick with my Anti virus software, only for it to still jot work. This launcher needs to get fixed before I pop a blood vessel, cause god damn it I spend more time fucking with the launcher than I do sitting in the actual GTA loading screen and that says something cause that is Notorious for taking forever.
Disclaimer: This is not a perfect guide, I'll be looking for improvements from you guys in the comments to make it better, I'm just trying to help players improve or learn how they can get as far as possible in the Aspen Dungeon. So what is the Aspen Dungeon? The Aspen Dungeon is a sort of mini game located next to the Arena that opens every 48 hours for 48 hours and then closes. You choose 5 of your heroes (will talk more about this later) and fight waves of monsters over and over. For every 100 waves you pass you reach a new level of difficulty but the difficulty increases in increments over the 100 levels. The first section is 'Easy', second 'Normal', third 'Difficult' and finally 'Nightmare'. I am currently on 'Difficult' with a personal best of round 22 (222). Once you pick your starting 5 heroes they are essentially 'screenshotted' meaning any changes to their geaartifact/stones/level have no affect on Aspen Dungeon, so be sure to have them as ideally equipped out as possible. For every wave you defeat you receive 1 of 3 rewards.
A potion (milk, angel potion, demon potion or 1 of 3 stat boosting potions) which I will explain later
A merchant - which I will go into more detail about later also
Your heroes will not heal in between fights i.e. all damage is sustained making any heals incredibly valuable. Heals come in 4 forms
Hero Abilities - Heroes like Ormus or Vesa have abilities that allow them to heal which is very beneficial for sustain in the Aspen Dungeon
Milk (heals a fraction of your heroes health, ~20%)
Angel Potion (full restores your heroes health, 100%)
Demon Potion (restores your heroes health by half and full restores your heroes energy, 50%)
Potions You can receive 3 stat boosting potions, a blue round potion, a red square potion and a orange oval potion
Blue Round Potion: Crit Damage
Red Square Potion: Damage
Orange Oval Potion: Crit Chance
Merchants So as mentioned previously there are 3 different merchants - the 'Handsome Boy' Merchant, the 'Baroness Lady' Merchant and the 'Old Lady' Merchant. Personally if you have a good amount of gold (upwards of 10mil) I would recommend buying the casino chips for gold everytime even though they are more expensive than the store as they have a return when you spin them and get you rewards. Also the 10x heroic scrolls for 1250 gems is an absolute bargain and is a must buy everytime. Additionally the 5x Prophet Orb deal for 2250 gems is basically 450 gems per prophet orb, 50 gems cheaper than from the shop and is a good deal if you have a lot of gems as Prophet Orb events tend to have very good rewards. The Old Lady Merchant tends to have the best deals and I tend to measure the value of deals in comparison to the regular store values. Having said that not all deals are worth buying in my opinion. Examples of this are:
50x 5 Star Hero Shard for 3000 gems (You get a 5 star of either Fortress, Forest, Abyss or Shadow but I personally believe 3000 gems for most likely fodder is not worth it)
30x 4 Star Hero Shard for 500 gems (Once again I don't think 500 gems for a random 4 star is worth it especially when you can buy extra event raid attempts for 50 gems each)
Spirit aka green stuff for gold (Personally I have an abundance of spirit and a lack of gold so never find these deals worth it however if you have plenty of gold and not enough spirit to upgrade heroes feel free to purchase)
This wiki page has information about the percentage values comparing store values to merchant values in case anyone was interested in the maths. How to progress in Aspen Dungeon Reaching milestones i.e. every 100 levels is very important as after you reach a new difficulty tier every Aspen Dungeon run afterwards all previous levels are automatically cleared and you receive all the rewards instantly with all the Merchant deals in the upper right hand corner under the hammer. In order to reach each milestone you must use the right heroes (will talk more about this below) and ration your resources or potion.
Using your healing potions as effectively and efficiently as possible is crucial as this is what will carry you through every round of beating. You will want to avoid over healing with your potion to gain maximum value out of them so if your hero is at say ~70% health use 1 milk rather than 2 as even though with 2 you reach 100% health you waste some of the healing potential. In the case of Angel potions you will want to wait until you are as close to 0% health as possible before you using it. There is no formula for this and you will have to learn through experience roughly how much damage certain levels will do to certain heroes and predict. If you are relatively new to Aspen play it safe and if your hero drops below 20% health use an angel potion but for the more experienced players you know if your hero is at 20% that they will either survive an Honour Guard level or die to a 4x Blood Blade level.
If you have no Angel potions then you can use your Demon Potions and ideally you use these when your hero is below 50% health and has little energy. A useful tip is that you can use multiple Demon Potions to 'overcharge' your heroes ability. How it works is after your hero reaches 100 energy any additional energy added becomes skill damage for your next ability meaning if you were to use 2 Demon Potions on a hero with full energy already your next skill would deal 200% extra skill damage. This is a very useful strategy for exploding 'walls' as I like to call them like Gerke/Norma/Ormus levels which for some people are impossible to pass due to the overwhelming amounts of healing. Best Heroes for Aspen Dungeon
NOTICE S Tier will be heroes with the ability to get through most of or all of Difficult. Top Tier will be heroes with the ability to get through most of or all of Normal. Basic Tier will be heroes for newer players to help them get through Easy difficulty. NOTICE OVER
This list is off the top of my head and I'm very open to suggestions and improvements so please be gentle This is not necessarily S tier or God tier heroes in the actual game just in the scenario of Aspen Dungeon and assume these heroes are all 10 star
S Tier Heroes Vesa: The holy grail of Aspen Heroes, a healer that can deal huge burst damage. Essentially if you want to reach 'Nightmare' break out the wallet and get yourself a 10 star Vesa.
Gerke: Personally have not seen much of Gerke in action myself however due to a lot of you guys saying he is top tier I'll add him. Essentially is a crazy good Norma as with his skill set can build up a lot of Holy Damage to break walls and with plenty of self heal.
Karim:With the recent changes to Karim's abilities he now has crazy self heal and this sustain can be enough to carry you through a lot of the Nightmare stages.
Sigmund: Another great hero for Aspen Dungeon. Whilst he doesn't personally have his own heals running him with a damage reduction artifact and using your healing potion wisely this guy will plough through plenty of levels. Some people have disagreed with me on putting Siggy in S tier however I've seen his potential first hand of clearing most of Difficult.
Top Tier Heroes
Blood Blade: A classic, deals a ton of burst damage and has self healing when he kills enemies. Only problem is if he hits a wall and can't kill the enemies quickly he cannot sustain his heals and will die.
Dominator: After the buff giving him a 38% freeze chance he is even better on top of his 600% heal + 112% heal from each attack. Low burst however and cannot defeat walls.
Lutz: Lutz has been buffed a great deal recently and his third passive gives him an insane 400% attack heal for 5 consecutive rounds which is fantastic aswell as 40% Armour Break for breaking walls. Important You must always heal him past the 80% health margin as his passive ability only triggers when he drops below 80%.
Ormus: The bread and butter of healing. While he has fantastic heals he is not so great at breaking walls or taking lots of hits from Blood Blades.
Dantalian: Heals whilst taking damage giving him decent sustain, once again fails to break walls.
Groo: Groo is a hero I personally have at 10 star and single handedly carried me through to Difficult. Incredibly tanky and can handle 4x Blood Blade levels and has a healing ability that stacks up over time. Cannot destroy walls however so needs a Sigmund to clear Gerke levels.
Balrog: Good single target ability with big self heal. Tanky hero that can sustain. Not good for breaking walls.
Eddga: Ability heals himself and buffs him self and regular attacks to the same meaning after a few rounds has potential to clear walls. Underrated hero in my opinion and pretty good for Aspen.
Asmodel: In general a good hero, quite tanky and lays down massive crits for breaking walls, similar role to Sigmund just not quite as good at it.
Michelle: Being a ranger means high damage and with her skill set she can CC all 4 enemies whilst healing herself and being immune to being CC'ed herself.
Basic Tier Heroes
Norma: Norma is a great choice for newer players as she heals whilst taking and dealing damage. Only con is does not have a 10 star counter part therefore does not scale well past a certain point. Great beginners choice especially since all players now start with a 5 star Norma.
Starlight: Similar hero to Blood Blade but slightly weaker, good damage dealing and heals well however struggles at walls and is a pretty meh hero in general. Another great beginners choice as is one of the first heroes you get due to 30 day login bonus.
Corpsedemon: Tanky hero with plently of heal. Fails to beat any damage with healing due to weak damage but can beat weaker floors with many attempts.
Situational These are heroes that can work with the overcharge trick as their abilities are good for bursting down walls Walter, Baade, Iceblink, Sigmund, Mirage, Barea, Queen, Karim, Skerei, Malassa, Demon Hunter, Faceless, Das Moge, Amuvor and Faithblade. The 50th Edition Spectacular of Bets and Bravery!
Welcome one, welcome all, we're glad to have you here for this monumental occasion here at Bets and Bravery! Before I go off on my usual tirade, I feel it's only necessary to dive into the history of B&B when we're at such an important milestone in B&B's life which I'll inevitably repeat as we reach the 100th edition, the 150th, the 200th... So, to everyone out there, sit back, take some notes, and relive your high school history class for a brief moment more as we take a look back on what's brought us all here today!
Back in the summer of 2013, u/milkyjoe241 created a thread that came to be known under the name of Bets and Wagers where users on this sub would bet with fake currency on what would happen in upcoming chapters of the One Piece story. While the game didn't stick around too long, the seeds were planted, and three years later by fall 2016, those seeds had sprouted. A user by the name u/ZeppelinCaptain, fond of milkyjoe241's short-lived series decided he would revive the series under the name you all know and love today: Bets and Bravery! However, just like milkyjoe before him, ZeppelinCaptain soon became too wrapped up in other endeavors of his and had to leave the project. However, an ambitious and young not so young anymore lad by the name of u/euphon22 took up the mantle and saved the show from another swift demise. Euphon22 premiered his Bets and Bravery on Halloween of 2016 I promise the show isn't cursed just because all the previous hosts have mysteriously disappeared, leaving the reins in another young hopeful's hands only for them to suffer the same fate in due time. Oh. Oh, God. Somebody, anybody, help! to roaring success, where he stayed showrunner for nearly two years. While he attempted to keep the show going consistently, his own life also became more busy with time and he had to take breaks from his work, and like milkyjoe and Zeppelin before him, eventually could no longer run the show consistently. I was approached by euphon with the opportunity to keep the show alive as its host. While 15 minutes of pacing may be excessive in retrospect, this decision was a big one for me. As an avid veteran player, I wanted to see the game continue to prosper and grow, but didn't know if I could handle the job. To make a long story short, I took the job. Euphon took me under his wing and taught me everything he knew, and I've been running this show since July of this year. Now we all stand here, at the 50th Edition of Bets and Bravery, as one big gambling-addicted family! I'm truly thankful to everyone, whether you're new to this game, whether you've been a veteran for years, or if you're somewhere in the middle! Truly, thank you all; I couldn't keep running this show without your support!

Obviously, there was one portion of the chapter that will have the most effect on the future of this arc. No, I'm not talking about Kin'emon's eventual reunion with O-Tsuru. I'm talking about Luffy yet again ending up in prison (and we all know how well prison hinders Luffy's journey). However, while Luffy ending up in prison is all the rave this week, let's talk about who else is in prison with Luffy. According to u/OharaLibrarianArtur, the silhouette we saw in Kaidou's prison who attacked the guards with the fish bones was not Captain Kid, and that this person was held in an entirely different section of the prison from Luffy and Kid. The question becomes, just who is this man and why does he warrant his own solitary confinement while Luffy sits next to Kid? Well, that's your question! Who is this mysterious silhouette in Kaidou's jail?

Back to prison, there's another important piece of the puzzle we need to discuss: Kid. Last time we saw Kid, it was all the way back before Whole Cake Island, eons ago, when he was captured and thrown in a different prison than he's in now. This all happened after he, Hawkins, and Apoo were all in the wrong place at the wrong time when Kaidou, attempting to kill himself, happened to fall from a sky island onto the meeting place of the supernovas. After a brief scuffle, Hawkins pledged allegiance, Apoo's status is unknown, and Kid was thrown in jail for being disobedient. Now, he's not the only supernova who has gone up against Kaidou, as Luffy has ended up in the same predicament he has. Not only that, but they both have Conqueror's Haki (and of course Oda just drops that information in casual dialogue like it's nothing)! So, with the both of them having fought against and lost to Kaidou, both conquerors, and both wanting to defeat a Yonkou, it's obvious that they'd team up against Kaidou. Or, is it obvious? Dear audience, will Kid team up with Luffy to defeat Kaidou?

Even if Ashura Douji, Denjiro, and Kawamatsu are all recruited, without Luffy the plan stands no chance of success. He's a key aspect, and you think he'd be needed back on the battlefield as soon as possible, right? Perhaps. However, another problem would then arise. If Luffy, let alone Luffy, Kid, and the other prisoner, breaks out of prison, Kaidou will send an army or even chase them down himself to put an end to them. It's a dilemma for sure. If Luffy remains in prison, he won't know the plan and won't have time to train for his fight in the upcoming battle. Notice: Have seen lots of questions related to the Aspen Dungeon recently and decided to update this because of all of the recent hero changes. Let me know if I missed anything. So what is the Aspen Dungeon? The Aspen Dungeon is a sort of mini game located next to the Arena that opens every 48 hours for 48 hours and then closes. You choose 5 of your heroes (will talk more about this later) and fight waves of monsters over and over. For every 100 waves you pass you reach a new level of difficulty but the difficulty increases in increments over the 100 levels. The first section is 'Easy', second 'Normal', third 'Difficult' and finally 'Nightmare'. I am currently on 'Difficult' with a personal best of round 22 (222). Once you pick your starting 5 heroes they are essentially 'screenshotted' meaning any changes to their geaartifact/stones/level have no affect on Aspen Dungeon, so be sure to have them as ideally equipped out as possible. For every wave you defeat you receive 1 of 3 rewards.
A potion (milk, angel potion, demon potion or 1 of 3 stat boosting potions) which I will explain later
A merchant - which I will go into more detail about later also
Your heroes will not heal in between fights i.e. all damage is sustained making any heals incredibly valuable. Heals come in 4 forms
Hero Abilities - Heroes like Vesa have abilities that allow them to heal which is very beneficial for sustain in the Aspen Dungeon
Milk (heals a fraction of your heroes health, ~20%)
Angel Potion (full restores your heroes health, 100%)
Demon Potion (restores your heroes health by half and fully restores your heroes energy by 300%)
Potions You can receive 3 stat boosting potions, a blue round potion, a red square potion and a orange oval potion
Blue Round Potion: Crit Damage
Red Square Potion: Damage
Orange Oval Potion: Crit Chance
Merchants So as mentioned previously there are 3 different merchants - the 'Handsome Boy' Merchant, the 'Baroness Lady' Merchant and the 'Old Lady' Merchant. Personally if you have a good amount of gold (upwards of 10mil) I would recommend buying the casino chips for gold everytime even though they are more expensive than the store as they have a return when you spin them and get you rewards. Also the 10x heroic scrolls for 1250 gems is an absolute bargain and is a must buy everytime. Additionally the 5x Prophet Orb deal for 2250 gems is basically 450 gems per prophet orb, 50 gems cheaper than from the shop and is a good deal if you have a lot of gems as Prophet Orb events tend to have very good rewards. The Old Lady Merchant tends to have the best deals and I tend to measure the value of deals in comparison to the regular store values. Having said that not all deals are worth buying in my opinion. Examples of this are:
50x 5 Star Hero Shard for 3000 gems (You get a 5 star of either Fortress, Forest, Abyss or Shadow but I personally believe 3000 gems for most likely fodder is not worth it)
30x 4 Star Hero Shard for 500 gems (Once again I don't think 500 gems for a random 4 star is worth it especially when you can buy extra event raid attempts for 50 gems each)
Spirit aka green stuff for gold (Personally I have an abundance of spirit and a lack of gold so never find these deals worth it however if you have plenty of gold and not enough spirit to upgrade heroes feel free to purchase)
This wiki page has information about the percentage values comparing store values to merchant values in case anyone was interested in the maths. How to progress in Aspen Dungeon Reaching milestones i.e. every 100 levels is very important as after you reach a new difficulty tier every Aspen Dungeon run afterwards all previous levels are automatically cleared and you receive all the rewards instantly with all the Merchant deals in the upper right hand corner under the hammer. In order to reach each milestone you must use the right heroes (will talk more about this below) and ration your resources or potion.
Using your healing potions as effectively and efficiently as possible is crucial as this is what will carry you through every round of beating. You will want to avoid over healing with your potion to gain maximum value out of them so if your hero is at say ~70% health use 1 milk rather than 2 as even though with 2 you reach 100% health you waste some of the healing potential. In the case of Angel potions you will want to wait until you are as close to 0% health as possible before you using it. There is no formula for this and you will have to learn through experience roughly how much damage certain levels will do to certain heroes and predict. If you are relatively new to Aspen play it safe and if your hero drops below 20% health use an angel potion but for the more experienced players you know if your hero is at 20% that they will either survive an Honour Guard level or die to a 4x Blood Blade level.
If you have no Angel potions then you can use your Demon Potions and ideally you use these when your hero is below 50% health and has little energy. A useful tip is that you can use multiple Demon Potions to 'overcharge' your heroes ability. How it works is after your hero reaches 100 energy any additional energy added becomes skill damage for your next ability meaning if you were to use 2 Demon Potions on a hero with full energy already your next skill would deal 200% extra skill damage. This is a very useful strategy for exploding 'walls' as I like to call them like Gerke/Norma/Ormus levels which for some people are impossible to pass due to the overwhelming amounts of healing. NOTICE S Tier will be heroes with the ability to get through most of or all of Difficult. Top Tier will be heroes with the ability to get through most of or all of Normal. Basic Tier will be heroes for newer players to help them get through Easy difficulty. NOTICE OVER
This list is off the top of my head and I'm very open to suggestions and improvements so please be gentle This is not necessarily S tier or God tier heroes in the actual game just in the scenario of Aspen Dungeon and assume these heroes are all 10 star
S Tier Heroes
Vesa: The holy grail of Aspen Heroes, a healer that can deal huge burst damage. Essentially if you want to reach 'Nightmare' break out the wallet and get yourself a 10 star Vesa.
Karim:With the recent changes to Karim's abilities he now has crazy self heal and this sustain can be enough to carry you through a lot of the Nightmare stages.
Sigmund: Another great hero for Aspen Dungeon. Whilst he doesn't personally have his own heals running him with a damage reduction artifact and using your healing potion wisely this guy will plough through plenty of levels. Some people have disagreed with me on putting Siggy in S tier however I've seen his potential first hand of clearing most of Difficult.
Gerke: Personally have not seen much of Gerke in action myself however due to a lot of you guys saying he is top tier I'll add him. Essentially is a crazy good Norma as with his skill set can build up a lot of Holy Damage to break walls and with plenty of self heal. Not 100% sure if Gerke still is S Tier after recent changes to his ability but he is still very good.
Top Tier Heroes
Blood Blade: A classic, deals a ton of burst damage and has self healing when he kills enemies. Only problem is if he hits a wall and can't kill the enemies quickly he cannot sustain his heals and will die.
Dominator: After the buff giving him a 38% freeze chance he is even better on top of his 600% heal + 112% heal from each attack. Low burst however and cannot defeat walls.
Lutz: Lutz has been buffed a great deal recently and his third passive gives him an insane 400% attack heal for 5 consecutive rounds which is fantastic aswell as 40% Armour Break for breaking walls. Important: You must always heal him past the 80% health margin as his passive ability only triggers when he drops below 80%.
Corpsedemon: Tanky hero with plently of heal. Fails to beat any damage with healing due to weak damage but can beat weaker floors with many attempts.
Dantalian: Heals whilst taking damage giving him decent sustain, once again fails to break walls.
Groo: Groo is a hero I personally have at 10 star and single handedly carried me through to Difficult. Incredibly tanky and can handle 4x Blood Blade levels and has a healing ability that stacks up over time. Cannot destroy walls however so needs a Sigmund to clear Gerke levels.
Balrog: Good single target ability with big self heal. Tanky hero that can sustain. Not good for breaking walls.
Eddga: Ability heals himself and buffs him self and regular attacks to the same meaning after a few rounds has potential to clear walls. Underrated hero in my opinion and pretty good for Aspen.
Asmodel: In general a good hero, quite tanky and lays down massive crits for breaking walls, similar role to Sigmund just not quite as good at it.
Michelle: Being a ranger means high damage and with her skill set she can CC all 4 enemies whilst healing herself and being immune to being CC'ed herself.
Basic Tier Heroes
Norma: Norma is a great choice for newer players as she heals whilst taking and dealing damage. Only con is does not have a 10 star counter part therefore does not scale well past a certain point. Great beginners choice especially since all players now start with a 5 star Norma.
Starlight: Similar hero to Blood Blade but slightly weaker, good damage dealing and heals well however struggles at walls and is a pretty meh hero in general. Another great beginners choice as is one of the first heroes you get due to 30 day login bonus.
Ormus: The bread and butter of healing. While he has fantastic heals he is not so great at breaking walls or taking lots of hits from Blood Blades.
Situational These are heroes that can work with the overcharge trick as their abilities are good for bursting down walls Walter, Baade, Iceblink, Sigmund, Mirage, Barea, Queen, Karim, Skerei, Malassa, Demon Hunter, Faceless, Das Moge, Amuvor and Faithblade.
